The combat system is annoying. This game is plain simple fun, nothing fancy, just enough to make you want more.

Risen is a great game, if you loved Gothic 1 and 2, you will enjoy this immensely. The STORY, the characters, the quests, the items, magic, the worlds, the difficulty in battle, are at their best. It's kind of like The Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind, but with voice acting and different combat. This game will give you a sense of accomplishment, because of how much you have to try to succeed at everything you do. It's a shame that first two Gothic games are very old now. Game features one of the most beautiful worlds for its time and one of the least well drawn women. Besides combat skills there are crafting, magical and thievery skills. Story is divided into few chapters, and finishing one changes a world a bit, adding some secondary quests and new enemies.

Risen 1 is the best RPG i have played in my life. Its really better than skyrim, even The witcher 2 that i love, dragon age. Overall this role-playing game definitely worth a play. If you like open world, free roam RPG games like Skyrim. This is the type of Game you will like. If you liked Gothic and Gothic II you will probably enjoy this very much. Recommended for lovers of the old Gothic games who want to see the series' story continue.

Risen 2 presents very very very beautiful lands to explore. Dark Waters is a good sequel, if not somewhat clunky. This second chapter of the Risen brand is an imperfect charming RPG, with stunning environments and an engrossing story. Risen 2 transcends its shortcomings by boasting a wonderful living and breathing world and a refreshing new setting. Risen 2 is a great role playing experience for any fan of open world games. A great RPG. so far the games seems quite fun. The fighting system is kind of fun, The skill system is a fairly simple one, The graphics are sometimes really gorgeous. Its fun, whoever liked the first part or the Gothic series will enjoy this game.

This is more powerful than Risen 3 Titan Lords. I would recommend this game to people who have already played and enjoyed previous games in the Gothic or Risen series. This is probably a good place for newcomers to get introduced to the studio's unique style of RPG. Overall, I liked this game, and half way through, loved it. It is one of those games that grows on you. This was a fantastic game that I highly recommend.

The story line makes it interesting and fun in the natural flow of the game. The Bard's Tale is a great casual RPG that takes you back to gaming as it was nearly ten years ago. One of those titles that focuses more on the characters and story rather than loot, combat, or game mechanics in general. You will, however, enjoy every step in your journey. Everything you pick up is something you automatically equip or something that turns instantly to gold.

This is not the same as Fable. This game is a beast and easily the best game I've played. Overall I do recommend this game mostly because of story, the game mechanics are not good, but not that bad so you would just give up on the game. I enjoyed the game from the very beginning till the very end and probably will replay it at least once. I like the game, the way it is designed, its gameplay and humour. If you are not combat-obsessed power gamer try it.

Usually, traditional Japanese RPG just have the characters 'dancing' and standing still when 'attacking' one another. Fights are great as in original game, but the story, talking and relationships parts are still excellent. Very interesting to play and develop world and relationships with heroines. The story line is good so far from how long i been playing and it has a a lot of funny moments to. Agarest Generation Zero pretty much will make you memorize alot because of the battle system and item creation. Game instead you are allowed to use AP "Action Points" to maneuver your party into position to attack, defend, support or counter just about anything.

If you have alot of time and want to play a jrpg then go for this or play the first game firstIts a good game its been getting. No issues besides a few odd graphics showed up and game-play was smooth and nothing broken. Overall, the game is average with its strength being the battle-system. Very amusing, very challenging and very addictive. I highly recommend this game

Gameplay is a lot of fun, especially if you enjoy having a lot of characters. There is also extensive item and skill crafting system, and every next-tier item. The story also leaves the player plenty of choice there are multiple story branches in each generation. Story is pretty good for a non Bioware RPG, though still not terribly deep or original. The battles are fun and I like how it has you think about where to put your character's and how to use them.

A game that's more than the sum of its many flawed parts. This game is perfect for peoples who are in it for the story and want to continue the story further out of curiousity and determination. Agarest Generations of War is a game that not many would find enjoyable at first. It's a fun but repetitive Strategy RPG that requires grinding depending on your choice of diffiiculty. Idea Factory are making some very impressive Japanese RPG games, and the first Record of Agarest is one amazing game. The game is awesome, the battle system is amazing once again, and the storyline is super good and by judging the total gameplay this is over.

Agarest is one of my all-time favorite strategy RPG, and favorite of those available on PC. I fully recommend Agarest to all RPG fans, particularly the fans of strategy RPGs. If you like RPGs with highly tactical turn-based combat mechanics, then yes. Overall, if you want a game to spend a lot of time in then this is it.

This is very good Diablo like RPG game with very good story, graphics and skills. Great skill system offers a TON of replayability. Excellent variety of enemies to fight. Good in game mythos based on real life mythology. Fun game to exlore and run through but let's be honest here. Kill everything you see and hope for better gear. The boss fights didn't even require any tactic to beat. Just click them to death. This is a game that was far ahead of its time with Graphics and game play. This game is fantastic, it is perfect for an enthralling abeit casual gaming experience.

The graphics were great, enemies difficult yet not impossible to defeat, classes were highly customizable and fun. This action RPG has something special Greek, Egyptian and Asian mythology.

Titan Quest is one of the best RPG games I have ever played, it reminds me alot of the original Diablo. Very fun game. I'm very impressed that every monster in the game actually. Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning delivers exactly a pitch perfect fantasy RPG, with visceral, intuitive gameplay that is easy to pick up. Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning is a game for the nerdiest RPG aficionado. Kingdom of Amalur is more fantasty orientated whereas I found Skyrim to be more bleak and brutal. The storytelling is excellent and the depth of the lore is very satisfying. The story line is decadent and entertaining, and the world has been robbed of a beautiful and engaging series. It's a pretty standard Fantasy Action Game experience. This game gets compared to Skyrim a lot, but it does combat, classes and abilities so much better than The Elder Scrolls Skyrim. Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning is an underrated, overlooked gem that has had me hooked since it was released.

The main story and quests are on par with current popular RPG. The world is quite large, but it's really not an open world like a Bethesda game. The crafting systems are so so. The world is open and very large. It has many secrets to share. The combat on the other hand is developed amazingly. The game offers you three playstyles or mix of them. Rogue, mage or warrior. In Amalur there is a war between motals and immortals, and guess who's loosing. Having experienced more than a few failed starts in the genre. Amalur has made me excited once more to try out a new RPG. There are even some solid gameplay elements present, with some of the combat experiences. Introduces enough new gameplay elements to be interesting.

If you are looking for a RPG experience stay away from crafting. If you're a fan of  Fable The Lost Chapters, then you'll like this game. Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning is by far one of the best RPG's I have ever played. If you are looking somthing easy and casual I think this is for you. I think this game is a little overrated. This is one of the best RPGs I've ever had the pleasure to experience.

Gothic II is a perfect action adventure role playing game with a huge world that lets you explore on your own. This game is one of the best action roleplaying experiences despite its age and graphics. The world has to be one of the best designed game worlds. The developers improved the gameplay in every possible way and the game is more challenging than the first Gothic game. There are tons of weapons, armours, skills, secret areas, monsters, characters, exploration, side quests, and much more. The story is great and very interesting. Gothic II takes you on an even greater journey of adventure and discovery. Gothic 2 is the best one of the trilogy, i can confirm this after i've completed all 3 games, great questline, great story, decent combat system.

The wonderfully crafted world had a living feel to it which was years ahead of it's time. With everyone fallowing a daily routine which included even recreational activities. The island world really felt like it could have existed in some world at some time. All that and some unique quests make this game one of my favourite RPGs. Gothic II is a great game with an awesome story. You awake in a world full of wonders and possibilities. The setting, the atmosphere, the way the world lives are the best features of the game. The story is amazingly well written and the characters actually have characteristic features, I love the way they tell jokes or get angry with you. Which seem to concentrate on just what a game looks like and nothing about its story.

Gothic 2 is arguably my favourite RPG, and has been for many years. Gothic 2 is much smoother than Gothic 1. Gothic 2 is a classical fantasy RPG that combines some of my favourite tropes from the genre. One of my favorite games of all time. This is by far the best game you will ever play. For me, Gothic and Gothic II are the definition of perfect game. If you love hardcore RPGs that don't hold your hand and reward you for your efforts, this is the game for you.
